Over the last few weeks, I had been anticipating the release of Spore. Spore is a game for PC and Mac where you control a creature from humble origins as a cell until it reaches a civilizatio capable of space flight.

Upon my first play, I noticed the graphics were of excellent quality- Needless to say, it won’t run anything lower than a Intel GMA x3100. MacBook and Mac Mini owners are out of luck.

The game consists of several stages, starting with the Cell Stage, where the player eats other organisms to gain DNA and eventually evolve into a land organism. Beginning with the Tribal Stage, gameplay makes a large change- It becomes an RTS. I didn’t past Tribal Stage in my initial session.

Spore is a addicting and unique game, I urge everyone to pick up a copy NOW.
